Retford Business Forum welcomes new treasurer and communications team.

Retford Business Forum (RBF) announces its new leadership line-up and welcomes new treasurer, John Price. John is a trustee of Uniper UK Electricity Supply Pension Scheme and has recently retired from a career in the energy generation sector.

The new line-up at RBF includes Rick Brand (Chair), Alison Leckenby (Membership Secretary), John Price (Treasurer), Sharon Richardson (Secretary), Marie Walker (social media), and Steve Walker (Vice-Chair). They are pictured at their initial meeting held ‘Covid-safely’ outside.

The website ( www.retfordbusinessforum.org.uk ) has been improved to include a space for members to link from, and further initiatives for members are being worked on. Membership has been held at only £24 per year. RBF relies entirely on its members, donations and grants and is not regularly funded by anyone. Plans for the Retford Christmas Market and Lights Switch-on for 2021 are underway. This year’s Retford Christmas Market and Lights Switch-on will be held on Sunday, November 21st 2021, and booking forms will be available early in September. RBF is very grateful for the support it is receiving from North Notts BID and Bassetlaw District Council (BDC) to enable it to stage this landmark event. RBF is currently working in partnership with BDC to develop a Retford Town Centre Neighbourhood Plan, and it is eager to hear from residents, and those working in, or owning, properties in the Town Centre – please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. Anyone interested in supporting RBF is welcome to attend RBF meetings which are held on the first Monday in each month (except bank holidays) at 6pm, remotely via Microsoft Teams.
